Phabo veröffentlicht “Soulquarius” Album // Stream
Und schon wieder eine Uber-Empfehlung von mir für Euch, für die ich in einer normal funktionierenden Welt 20 Mio. verdient hätte: Phabo mit seinem Album Soulquarius. Meine Aufmerksamkeit hatte dieses Album, weil ich zunächst an etwas Neues von den Soulquarians (Neo-Soul Collective Ende der 90er/Anfang 2000er Jahre, hier gibt es eine geile Playlist) gedacht habe. Damit hat der aus dem Soulection-Umfeld kommende Künstler Phabo nicht so viel zu tun, auch wenn es musikalisch ein paar Gemeinsamkeiten gibt. Und genau das macht dieses Release so super.

Es gibt 16 Tracks zu hören, Features kommen von Rexx Life Raj, Mntra und Alex Vaughn. Man kann vielleicht auch noch erwähnen, dass der Typ ein exzellenter Songwriter ist, der bereits für Khelani und Kyle Dion geschrieben hat. Für die Produktonen sind LosHendrix (u.a. SZA, Giveon, Childish Gambino), Louie Lastic (Goldlink, Masego, Kali Uchis) und Esta verantwortlich. Reicht?
