Streetart: JR’s „Unframed Project“ in Marseille / France (16 Pictures)

Der Rastlose. Nachdem JR in Berlin und in New York sein Ding gemacht hat, ist er zurück in Marseille, wo er sein „Unframed“-Projekt fortführt. Wie Ihr wisst, macht JR Fotos von den Menschen, den Familien, die in den jeweiligen Orten leben. Darüberhinaus sucht er Bilder aus den jeweiligen Stadt-Archiven und lässt die jeweiligen Communities dann selbst entscheiden, welche der Bilder an die Wände gepasted werden sollen. Besonders beeindruckend aus dieser Serie hier finde ich die Bilder 13 + 14, ein YoungMe/NowMe-Projekt innerhalb des Unframed-Projektes. Er hört nicht auf, genial zu sein – hier seine neuesten Arbeiten, jeweils mit Untertiteln von JR himself:

At la Belle de Mai, in Marseille, France, JR looked into the identity of the neighborhood and invited its inhabitants to think about the memory of it by having a look in their personal family albums. These photographs, old or recent, cropped and enlarged, create a monumental artwork on the walls of the neighborhood and transform these personal memories into part of the collective history of La Belle de Mai.
