Nike, Sony, Marvel, JBL, Warner Bros. oder die New York Times, war der aus Rochester stammende Dude auch für die Cover-Artworks von Rap-Künstler wie Skyzoo, Koncept & J57 oder Apathy verantwortlich. Mit seiner neuen Serie “RAP KINGS” bekommen wir musikalische Ikonen des Rap-Biz wie Kendrick Lamar, Action Bronson, MF Doom oder Sean Price durch die bunte Comic-Brille von Chris B. For years, Chris Murray has been killing it on the illustrative tip. And now, the Philly-based artist is taking a deep dive into the rap realm with his RAP KINGS series. On top of illustrating covers for Skyzoo (Music For My Friends, Peddler Themes), Koncept & J57 (The Fuel) and Apathy (Weekend At The Cape, “I Keep On,” and pretty much every release since 2009’s Wanna Snuggle), Murray has also touched on 90’s Hip-Hop, recreating classic covers from Big Pun, Wu-Tang, Biggie, and others. But with RAP KINGS, he’s taking things to an entirely new level.
