Ordinary People photographed as Super Athletes by Benjamin Von Wong

Sehr schönes, neues Fotoprojekt von Benjamin Von Wong (den wir vor 3 Jahren hier bereits einmal gefeatured hatten), der eine Aufgabe sehr ernstgenommen hat: eine Foto Sharing Website hatte aufgerufen, Fotos ihrer Mitarbeiter in möglichst sportlicher Aufmachung zu erstellen, die Firma wollte diese Bilder nämlich im betriebseigenen Gym aushängen. Von Wong kam also mit seiner Regenmaschine und Licht-Equipment im Wert von 20.000$ ans Set und hat aus den normalen Angestellten absolute Superathleten gemacht. Die Fotos weisen alle eine unglaubliche Dynamik auf, dazu ein Licht im Hollywood-Standard – Olympia is calling! Die größte Herausforderung war es wohl, die jeweiligen Personen dazu zu bringen, wirklich an sich zu glauben, damit die Fotos entsprechend authentisch rüberkommen. Ist ihm gelungen:

When Canadian snapper Benjamin Von Wong was asked to take photos of the staff at the offices of SmugMug, a photography website, he captured them posed as elite athletes. Using great lighting and a homemade rain machine, the staff, which included a 61-year-old grandfather and grandmother, 62, were transformed into muscular, chiseled athletic beings.”
