Jordan Rakei – “Cloak” (Full Album Stream)
DA HAB’ ICH DRAUF GEWARTET! Endlich, hier ist das Debut Album “Cloak” von dem Australier Jordan Rakei, den ich zufällig vor 2 Jahren auf einem ESTA-Release entdeckt habe. Letztes Jahr im Juni folgte das Mixtape “Groove Curse“, welches ewig lang in meiner Mucke-Mediathek routierte und nachdem ich Jordan Rakei mit “Talk To Me” auch in der letzten Marbs Playlist hatte gibt es jetzt das dazugehörige Album.
“Cloak” ersheint über 4101 Records, man beschreibt das Album selbst als groove based soul, jazz and hiphop with hints of psychedelia and afro percussive rhythms und ich möchte mal annehmen, dass es im Studio immer gut riecht. Jordan Rakei lebt inzwischen in London, wo dieses Album auch produziert und aufgenommen wurde, die Features kommen von australischen Freunden wie Remi and Ngaiire, darüber hinaus hören wir noch etwas von Richard Spaven auf Toko (Track #9). Ich nehme das Ding gleich mit runter an den Pool, so kann die neue Woche doch beginnen, Mensch. Dope:
