‘Cùltus’ – Urban Artists ‘Truly’ mit beeindruckendem Optical-Illusion-Mural in Turin

Das Urban Art Kollektiv Truly aus Turin flasht uns schon eine ganze Weile mit seinen extrem beeindruckend daherkommende Designs. Die Herrschaften haben sich bekanntlich auf das Erstellen anamorphotischer Artworks spezialisiert. Die dopen Arbeiten der Desgin-Crew haben wir hier auf WHUDAT bereits mehrfach gefeatured. Im letzten Sommer tobten sich die kreativen Dudes beispielsweise auf einem Basketball-Feld in ihrer Heimatstadt aus. Ihren Optical-Illusion “Playground” haben wir natürlich auch an dieser Stelle präsentiert. Soeben erreicht uns die Nachricht von einem brandneuen Mural namens ‘Cùltus’ im gewohnt beeindruckenden Truly-Stil. Direkt hier unten haben wir ein paar Impressionen besagten Werks, welches am berühmten Porta Palazzo-Marktplatz in Turin entstand. Just have a look + Enjoy:

This piece is part of a series of artworks painted for the “TOward 2030. What are you doing?” Street Art project in Torino. The initiative has been transforming our hometown into a mouthpiece for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN. We were asked us to interpret Goal #2, “Zero Hunger”, in one of the most beautiful corners of the city: Porta Palazzo, the largest open air market in Europe, home to a multitude of ethnicities and cultures from all throughout the Globe. Our brainstorm stems from the word Cùltus, which in Latin indicates both the act of cultivating as the concept of culture and education. Through our abstract geometric register, we imagined a huge round field – fractioned according to the Golden Ratio so dear to Mother Nature – being fertilized by a volumetrically defined seed. Of course, the whole is filtered through our anamorphic lens. – Truly
