‘Classic Album Covers x Star Wars’ – Grandiose Mash-ups von Steve Lear

Digital Artist Steve Lear aus London diagnostizierte sich selbst jüngst eine ungesunde Obsession für Filme, Musik und Photoshop. Wie genau sich das Ganze auswirkt, lässt sich beispielsweise anhand seines ‘Classic Album Covers x Star Wars’-Projekts in Augenschein nehmen. Bekannte Alben-Cover der Musikgeschichte werden hier nämlich mit den beliebten Characters aus Star Wars gekreuzt. Zu besagten Projekt ließ der kreative Brite verlauten: “I was managing a record store, and as a way to promote the shop, I inserted the company logo into images of whatever the new release was for that week. As the ideas dried up with the company logo, I decided to create my own work — but this time mashing up movies and album covers. Star Wars puns were easy for me as far as finding inspiration and thinking of ideas.” Direkt hier unten lassen sich ein paar Highlights as der Lear’schen Mash-up-Kunst bestaunen.
