Robert Glasper Experiment – “ArtScience” (Full Album Stream)
Ein Highlight des Jahres für die Leute unter Euch, die Jazz mögen, war sicherlich das “Everything’s Beautiful” Miles Davis Tribute Album von Robert Glasper aus dem Mai, welches gleichzeitig der Soundtrack zum Miles Davis Biopic von Don Cheadle war. Vielleicht wisst Ihr, dass Mr. Glasper (feature) eine Band namens “The Experiment” hat und mit dieser hat er die Tage sein neuestes Projekt mit dem Namen “ArtScience” veröffentlicht. Anspieltipps aus dem Album sind ganz klar die Tracks #2 “Thinkin’ Bout You”, #3 “Day to Day” und Track #7 “Find You”. Modern Jazz meets HipHop meets Soul – unser Album des Tages:
“Robert Glasper and his backing band, The Experiment, won a GRAMMY in 2012 with their album Black Radio. They followed with a sequel the next year, but Glasper’s work with the quartet has been kept mum since then. That probably has to do with the jazz musician’s work with Don Cheadle’s Miles Davis biopic and the ensuing project full of Miles Davis reworks, Everything’s Beautiful, that followed, though. The group returned Friday with an explosive experience, “Find You” — the first single from their upcoming album, ArtScience.”
