Ink on a street map of Cambridge
Hatten wir hier schon einmal in ähnlicher Form von Fernando Vicente, diese Karten-Malereien hier vom britischen Künstler Ed Fairburn (facebook) sind ebenfalls ziemlich geil, wesentlich filigraner und detaillierter. Fairburn malt mit Tinte, Blei-/Buntstift oder Öl, manchmal mischt er auch seine Werkzeuge, beim Bild #7 hier mal er beispielsweise mit Öl und Buntstift. Das Bild #2 hier unten wurde auf eine Deutschland-Karte von 1973 gemalt – dope:

Almost like a sculptor carving a subject from a block of stone, or a constellation highlighted in a clump of stars, Fairburn uses meticulous ink or pencil crosshatching to create portraits hidden amongst the topographical features.”
