Ein weiteres Projekt aus 2018, welches bei uns fast untergegangen wäre: das Collabo-Projekt “You Are Here” von der Soulsängerin und Multi-Instrumentalistin April George und dem Produzenten, Engineer und Bassisten Matthew Thompson, kurz: April + VISTA. Extrem entspannte Produktionen irgendwo zwischen Gospel und 90ies RnB. Die beiden waren jüngst im COLORS-Studio (alle COLORS Ausgaben hier) und haben aus besagter EP die Nummer “You Are Here” performt – beides haben wir hier unten für Euch – 2019 gibt’s wieder mehr Soul.

“George’s vocals are more than aural wallpaper; she periodically varies the tempo of her enunciation and offers some gospel and ’90s R&B-rooted power. Most of this duo’s eight electro-R&B songs on You Are Here are short, with some feeling more like sketches—albeit sketches with much going on.”
