Snoop Dogg is Snoop Lion: “REINCARNATED” Official Documentary Trailer Part 1 + 2 (Clips)

Fan seit Ninetrizzey (ftwk) und wie Snoop in dem brandneuen Trailer (Part 2) selbst sagt: egal was er in seinem Leben, in seiner Karriere gemacht hat, er ist sich selbst immer treu geblieben, he never faked the funk. Klingt wie eine doofe Plattitüde, aber wer kann das ernsthaft von sich behaupten?! Mitbegründer des US-Gangsta-Rap, G-Funk, Pr0n-Produktionen, eine Reality-Soap, diverse Stilwechsel (von miesen NoLimit-Alben bis hin zu Pharrell’schen Pop-Hymnen und kennt noch jemand “Sensual Seduction”? Hammer!) – he just did it all und man konnte ihm niemals böse sein. Und jetzt dieses Reggae-Project, “REINCARNATED”, Snoop Dogg wird Snoop Lion. Das Ding ist: er wird es echt. Er geht nach Jamaica, nimmt dort ein Album mit Diplo auf (das Video zu “La La La” hab ich auch unten nochmal für Euch), spricht über sein Leben, seine Fehler und darüber, was er mit diesem Projekt beabsichtig. Hier sind beide Trailer (der erste ist etwas älter, Part 2 brandneu) – Album und Doku kommen im Frühjahr 2013, ich freue mich drauf:

“VICE Films, in partnership with Snoopadelic Films, presents REINCARNATED. The documentary follows Snoop Dogg as he journeys to Jamaica to record an album with Diplo. Snoop speaks of his violent past to becoming an icon in Rap & Hip-hop to not wanting to rap anymore. He says he wants to focus only the positivity cultural reggae music offers. While in Jamaica, Snoop finds himself embraced by the Jamaican people, is positively impacted by Rastafarian culture, and becomes reincarnated as Snoop Lion.”
