‘Float’ – A New Piece by Street Artist James Bullough for the Richmond Mural Project // Virginia

Der aus Washington D.C. stammende Streetartist James Bullough hat seine Zelte mittlerweile in Berlin aufgeschlagen. Bullough ist bekannt für seine überwiegend großflächig angelegten Artworks, welche realistische Malweise sowie grafische Zeichensetzung auf nahezu perfekte Weise miteinander zu kombinieren verstehen. Unter dem Titel “Float” entstand soeben beim “Richmond Mural Project” im amerikanischen Virginia, ein ebensolches Mural des talentierten Künstlers. Auch mit seinem neusten Artwork, welches übrigens die Künstlerin Katie Green abbildet, wird die Wahrnehmung des Betrachters durch Einsatz grafischer Unterbrechungen der realistischen Elemente, herausgefordert. James Bullough is an American born artist living and working in Berlin, Germany. His paintings, and huge monumentally scaled site-specific murals, are phenomenal combinations of realist painting technique and graphic punctuation. spent the last few days in Richmond where he was invited by Art Whino to paint for the Richmond Mural Project. The artist combines a realistic style with a geometric twist that breaks his paintings into fractured imagery, creating an additional element of line and shape. Each image is close to Realism, as his figures look like they are out of a photograph.
