Wieso den Samstag morgen nicht ganz entspannt mit einer hochinteressanten, 40-minütigen Dokumentation über “Hip Hops Greatest Storyteller” beginnen. In der VH1 Reihe “Behind the Music” gibt Nas tiefe Einblicke in den steinigen Weg seiner langen Karriere, dem tragischen tod seiner Mutter, Struggle mit Jay- Z und Tupac und obendrauf gibts noch jede Menge rares Filmmaterial. Zu Wort kommen unter Anderem auch Common, Q-Tip und DJ Premier (Schnell angucken solange noch online).

Touching on an array of topics that have both shaped him as a man and as an emcee – including his relationship with his parents, Ill Will, Large Professor, Tupac and his infamous battle with Jay-Z, the 41-minute episode sees Nas as an open book. Diese kurze “Doku” bestätigt meinen Eindruck, dass NAS immer authentische Musik gemacht hat, was für mich das wichtigste Element im Rap ist.
