Upside-Down Mural That Reflects Right-Side-Up Onto Water in Marijampole/Lithuania by Artist Ray Bartkus

Die extrem dopen “Seaside Murals” des in New York City lebende Street Artists Sean Yoro aka HULA, welche absolut perfekt mit der wassernahen Umgebung ihres jeweiligen Entstehungsortes harmonieren, haben wir Euch erst kürzlich hier auf WHUDAT präsentiert. Im Rahmen des Malonny Art Festival in Marijampole/Litauen bei dem diverse Künstler aus London, New York und Litauen aufeinander trafen, fertigte der im Big Apple ansässige und unter anderem für seine fotorealistischen Gemälde bekannte Künstler Ray Bartkus, soeben ein Mural in unmittelbarer Nähe des Flusses Šešupe. Das Besondere hier, das Artwork wurde von Bartkus quasi “Upside-Down” erstellt und gibt sein wahres Gesicht erst aus dem richtigen Blickwinkel, auf der Wasseroberfläche des Flusses preis. Kuckt mal:

Some art makes you turn your head. This mural implores you to do something less taxing – just take a look at the water. It was made by Lithuanian American artist Ray Bartkus. The painting is intentionally upside down. The real order of the painting is revealed when it reflects on water. The image we have here is edited to make the experience more vibrant. To see it in full watery glory, you’ll have to go to Marijampole, Lithuania. The city recently hosted the Malonny art festival. The name is a mishmash of Marijampole, London and New York, connecting artists from wildly different cities.
