Das Rolling Stones Magazin hat zusammen mit insgesamt 31 “Juroren” (u.a. Busta Rhymes, Mike D., Q-Tip, Questlove, Nas, Rick Rubin – kpl. Liste s.u.!), die wirklich Ahnung von Rap haben, eine Liste der 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time zusammengestellt und der großartige Marc hat dazu eine Spotify-Playlist mit allen 50 Tracks gebastelt. Ich möchte nicht zu viel verraten, aber na klar sind da so gut wie ALLE Classics drin, an die Ihr gerade denkt, von “Rappers Delight” über “C.R.E.A.M.”, von “Push It” zu “My Name Is” – wirklich ALLES! Mir sind da für meinen Geschmack auch zu viel 80er Teile dabei und dass so Tracks wie Dead Presidents, Life’s a Bitch, I used to love H.E.R etc. nich dabei sind wundert mich schon.
@Illsen: IIIILLLSEN, ALTER! Ich schieb’s mal auf Dein Alter, Du bist halt noch sehr jung. Aber ALter, Granny, die Sugarhill Gang und Bambaataa – das sind die Architekten, Diggie. DIE SIND UNHATEBAR! Ohne die kein HipHop, kein Rap, jedenfalls nicht so wie er heute ist. Außerdem willst Du nicht wirklich den Geschmack/die Knowledge der o.g. Menschen (= “Juroren”) in Frage stellen, oder?! Aber: wir müssen reden! :)
