Wie New York City ohne Lichter aussehen würde, hat uns allen das Ereignis im Oktober 2012 gezeigt. Jetzt sind wir wieder auf wunderbare Aufnahmen gestoßen, bei denen der Fotograf Christophe Jacrot (hier bereits gefeatured) Downtown Manhattan in Momenten des Blackouts festgehalten hat, in denen die Mega City trotz nicht funktionierender Werbetafeln oder der fehlenden, strahlenden Skyline nach wie vor gewaltig und beindruckend zugleich erscheint. Unten sehen wir trotz vorherrschender Dunkelheit einen farblich abgestimmten Mix urbaner Authentizität:
