Larnell Lewis hört Metallicas “Enter Sandman” das erste Mal und spielt es auf dem Schlagzeug nach // Video
Ach wie sehr ich das gerade genossen habe: Larnell Lewis ist ein professioneller Schlagzeuger, der so gut wie alles auf dem Schlagzeug spielen kann. Mit einer Musikrichtung hatte er jedoch niemals wirklich viel zu tun: Metal. Er kannte Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” nicht, hat diesen Song noch nie gehört; als HipHop&Soul-Dude ich kann das sogar nachvollziehen, hatte allerdings Metal-Fans im frühesten Freundeskreis und habe sehr häufig zu dieser Nummer gemosht. Ich fand es sehr spannend zu sehen, wie er den Song quasi erst einmal liest, sich das Arrangement im Kopf zurechtlegt. Und dann legt er halt selbst los – without further ado, Press Play, you’ll love it.
