“Fruit as Characters” – Illustratorin Marija Tiurina aus London verpasst Obst & Gemüse ein Profil
Illustratorin Marija Tiurina aus London präsentierte jüngst mit “Fruit as Characters” ein wirklich appetitliches Projekt. Die junge Dame lebt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum besten Obst & Gemüse-Händler der britischen Metropole. Entsprechend oft ist sie in besagter Lokalität vor Ort, um sich mit leckern Snacks einzudecken und Inspiration zu finden. Die schmackhaften, bunten Lebensmittel brachten die kreative Illustratorin (hier bei Instagram & Facebook) dazu, sich zu überlegen, wie Ihre favorisierten Snacks wohl als Comic-Characters daherkommen würden. Mit Wasserfarbe wurden ihre Ideen in den letzten Monaten zu Papier gebracht. Die Ergebnisse liegen mittlerweile vor und sind tatsächlich richtig grandios. London sure is great when it comes to a range of food produce you can purchase. Imagine anything – it’s probably on sale somewhere. I am pretty lucky to live near (probably) the best greengrocer in the entire city, and for the past few years I have been going over there at least once a week to gaze at the mind-blowing range of beautiful fruit and veg. That is what mostly inspired this personal project, and that’s pretty much what it’s all about: I have been picking green foods I found interesting and inspiring, and creating characters based on those.
