Dexter – “The Trip” (Full Album Stream)

Hier ist der nächste Hammer: ALL NEW DEXTER, hier ist der Full Album Stream zu seinem brandneuen Album “The Trip”, MPM ist erneut im Gebäude! Und mit Dexter haben wir heute einen der aktuell wohl gehypetesten Producer aus deutschen Gefilden am Stizzlap. Dexters Hype ist einer, der mich persönlich sehr freut, weil seine Musik wirklich anders ist. Ich möchte mal behaupten, der Typ kommt aus dem Jazz (“The Hi-Hat Club 3 – The Jazz Files” war auf jeden Fall das Erste, was ich von Dexter gehört habe), seit den Jazz Files ist eine Menge geschehen und Dexters Beats sind wesentlich psychedelischer und rockiger geworden. Das Album ist mit all seinen Facetten genau das, was der Titel verspricht: Ein Trip. Wäre das Album eine Droge, wäre es auf jeden Fall LSD, allerdings ein jazziger LSD-Trip Ende der sechziger Jahre. Der große Vorteil von “The Trip” ist jedoch, dass man keine Drogen mehr braucht, hat man sich erst einmal drauf eingelassen. Achtzehn brandneue Dexter-Beats, wie schön kann so ein Trip sein:

“Tune in, turn on, drop out! „The Trip“ is Dexter’s long-awaited follow-up to his seminal “Jazz Files” album. The German gold & platinum producer (Casper , Cro), and Hi-Hat Club member is letting his hair down by turning the late 60ties psychedlic rock sound into hip-hop. “The Trip” is all about free love, LSD, hash, fuzz guitars, tablas and revolution, and at the same time probably one of the most free-thinking hip-hop albums of 2013. Dexter’s music has been in its own cloud for a while now, but none of his previous records have been as far-out as “The Trip”. With a concept similar to the “The Jazz Files” Dexter is telling his personal psych story, one that has been triggered by his diggin habits. “I like nearly every music from the late 60ties”, he says, “My whole musical spectrum has been shaped by this era. It was a time when everything was in progress – art, film, music, society. And I wanted to bring this vibe across on this album.”
