Beste Nachricht der Woche bisher: NEW D’ANGELO! D hat mit seiner Band vor nicht allzu langer Zeit ein paar Tracks seines aktuellen Albums “Black Messiah” (auf jeden Fall in meinen “Top 10 of All Times”-Pladden) live in New York für Spotify eingespielt – und hier ist das Ergebnis! Es gibt eine extralange Version von “Betray My Heart” (fast 12 Minuten), es gibt “Really Love” und “The Door” in ebenfalls etwas längeren Versionen und schließlich sogar noch ein Prince-Cover zu “She’s Always In My Hair”. Wie ich eingangs sagte – die beste Nachricht der Woche – go grab it:

“Way back when the Black Messiah returned to the earth to dwell amongst his d’sciples, the man they call D’Angelo conducted his very first live performance of the record for the good folks at Spotify. And now, some 6 months after first shaking the ground, that Spotify stint is now available for your listening pleasure, featuring live and direct renditions of his BM favorites like “Betray My Heart” (which includes an extended jam with “Spanish Joint”), “Really Love” and “The Door”, not to mention a cover of Prince’s brooding b-side “She’s Always In My Hair”.”
