Anderson .Paak “Am I Wrong” (+ David Bowie “Lets Dance” – Live at French TV)
Ich werde nicht aufhören, Anderson .Paak hier auf WHUDAT zu supporten, bis nicht jeder das verdammte Album im Regal hat, I mean that. Mr. Anderson .Paak war gestern in einer französischen Unterhaltungsshow (wieso holt den Niemand nach Deutschland? Böhmi, so hilf doch!) und performte seine aktuelle Single “Am I Wrong”, ohne ScHoolboy Q, dafür aber mit einem fulminanten Schlagzeug-Solo (Typ ist ja professioneller Drummer). Am Ende gibt es sogar noch eine Widmung an David Bowie, eine “Let’s Dance”-Version von Paak plus Band. Ich fand übrigens Bowies Mucke aus den 80ern super, die Zeit, in der er mit Nile Rodgers zusammengearbeitet hat. Wie dem auch sei – hier ist der nächste ganz ganz Große, remember where you heard it first! Voilà:
Paak delivered an energetic rendition of the Malibu single “Am I Wrong”, eventually using ScHoolBoy Q’s beat switch-up to showcase his skills on the drums — his first instrument of choice. Instead of using the song’s original outro, he and his band moved seamlessly to a tribute to the late David Bowie, performing the first couple measures of the Brit’s “Let’s Dance.”
