“Road Wallah” – Mumbai’s Iconic Taxis Documented by Dougie Wallace (9 Pictures)

Der aus Glasgow/Schottland stammende und mittlerweile in London ansässige Fotograf Dougie Wallace ist bekannt für ausdrucksstarke Street Photography. Für sein Projekt “Road Wallah” verbrachte Wallace beispielsweise etwa ein Jahr in Mumbai, um die Taxi-Kultur nebst Fahrern und Passagieren, der bekanntlich bevölkerungsreichsten Stadt Indiens zu dokumentieren. In seinen filmischen Aufnahmen, versteht es der Chabo nahezu perfekt, das Leben in den dortigen “Bollywood Cabs” sowie die allgegenwärtige chaotische Energie der Hafenstadt im Bild festzuhalten.
