DJ M-Rock – “The Best Of Donna Summer” (Tribute Mix, Free Download)
Der Mai 2012 – aus Dahinscheidungssicht ein ziemlich beschissener Monat. Ich finde es dann auch immer ziemlich schwierig, einen Mix wie diesen hier von DJ M-Rock (kein Unbekannter aud WHUDAT) adäquat vorzustellen, denn machen wir uns nichts vor: wäre LaDonna Adrian Gaines aka Donna Summer vorgestern nicht an Krebs (schon wieder dieses Drecksviech!) verstorben, hätte es weder diesen Mix noch dieses Posting gegeben. Ich habe Donna Summer immer toll gefunden, meine Mutter hatte ein paar Platten von ihr, Sachen wie Love to Love You Baby, I Feel Love, Hot Stuff oder On the Radio liefen in Dauerschleife, ohne Donna Summer ist keine Disco-Pop-Compilation vorstellbar. Um von dieser Stelle aus auch einfach nochmal “Danke für die Musik, Donna!” zu sagen – hier der wirklich großartige Mix, mit Features von Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, Barbara Streisand, Brooklyn Dreams und Beyoncé:
