Das Deutsche Streetartduo Herakut hat sich am Neckarauer Übergang in Mannheim ausgelassen. “Brothers helping Sisters helping…” ist der Titel des Breitbild-Murals entlang den Bahngleisen und wurde von der Stadt Mannheim in Auftrag gegeben. In meinen Augen ist das eine vorbildliche Win-Win Situation – weiter unten habt ihr das Projekt in ganzer Breite:

Da der Emser nicht überall auf der Welt gleichzeitig sein kann, hatte ich letzte Woche die Gelegenheit, den neuen Renault Twizy zwei Tage lang auf Ibiza zu testen. Ohne Frage bin ich nicht unbedingt der Jens Stratmann oder der Alex Kahl unter den Car-Bloggern, aber ich könnte mich daran gewöhnen. An dieser Stelle nochmal Danke an Renault für die Einladung und auch an Alex und Jens, die mir in den zwei Tagen mit Rat und Tat beiseite standen.
Twizy: Ein Lifestyle-Auto/Quad/Elektro-Zweisitzer für die Stadt (u.a.) mit 18 PS, 85 km/h Maximum Speed, einer Reichweite von 50-100 km (je nach Fahrstil) und komplett aufgeladen in 3,5 Stunden. Abhängig von der Ausstattung wechseln bis zu 9.000 Euro den Besitzer und zusätzlich zahlt man 50 Euro Leasing-Rate für den Akku. Nick Gentry hat aus den guten alten Floppy Disks weitere Portraits erschaffen. Wir hatten ihn bereits hier, dort und vor ein paar Tagen hat der Brite die neuen Werke gedroppt. Meine persönlichen Flashbacks kommen dabei immer wieder zum Vorschein… der erste Computer (ein Amiga 500) hatte das Floppy Laufwerk bereits integriert, man musste nur noch von irgendwem die ganzen Games wie Rick Dangerous, Lemmings, Test Drive, Turrican, Micro Machines, Summergames, Bundesliga Manager, etc. kopieren kaufen…

Obama mit seiner Mum, am Stand, mit seinem Dad, den Baseballschläger schwingend, am Ballen, mit derbster Schlaghose, im Zentral Park und das letzte Bild lass ich einfach mal unkommentiert. Müsste etwa in chronologischer Reihenfolge so passen. Endlich mal wieder ein Timelapse Video, das es in sich hat. Der Norweger Tor Even Mathisen hat dieses Video eigentlich für “The American Dollar Band” erstellt und dieser Clip ist viel zu schön, um ihn hier nicht zu zeigen. Der Song heißt “As We Float”. Enjoy:
This is definitely one of the most beautiful time-lapse videos I’ve seen around. Having shot a time-lapse video before, I know how difficult it is to get the exposure to be consistent throughout the whole segment. It looks like Norwegian photographer Tor Even Mathisen has mastered the technique. At 0:37, you’ll see that he shot straight at the moon (yes, I’m sure it’s the moon) with either a very small aperture or an ND filter, and that whole segment has no flickering at all. Also, awesome crane work at 2:43 when you’ll see the crane move and turn at the same time.

Liminal” is an unstable threshold through which transformation occurs, shifting from one state to the next. Within these photographs, the viewer’s eye is instinctively drawn first to the streaks of light, but upon further reflection, faint traces of female figures are revealed. Blair said that the final product is not meant to trick the viewers, but is intended to “capture the moment of transformation in a collaboration with the camera.
