“The Boy & The Sea” – New Mural by Street Artist Rustam Qbic in Kiev // Ukraine

Der russische Street Artist Rustam Qbic verstand im letzten Jahr ganz hervorragend, uns mit seinen dopen Wallart-Pieces zu entzücken. Unter Umständen erinnert Ihr Euch noch an die Murals „Sailor Story“ (Perth/Australien) und „After School“ (Bodø/Norwegen). Im letzten Monat präsentierte uns der gute Mann mit “Recycling Kingdom” ein Mural in Napier/New Zealand. Offensichtlich gönnt sich Rustam Qbic derzeit keine Pause und legt mit einem weiteren Piece names “The Boy & The Sea” in Kiev nach. Er selbst sagt über seinen neusten Streich: “This is a work about a boy sitting on the beach during sunset, a time when you begin to dream of distant countries beyond the seas and oceans. At this moment you just want to fly away..” – ein durchaus bekanntes Gefühl, das hier von Mr.Qbic eine nahezu perfekte Visualisierung fand. The Ukrainian art initiative Art United Us kicks off its second year with a mural by Russian Artist Rustam QBic in Kiev, Ukraine. Entitled “The Boy And The Sea” the mural depicts a boy sitting on the beach during sunset holding a brush, and beside him a bucket of paint, staring at a large blimp in the horizon. Using his signature imaginary style and color palettes, the artist is leaving it to the viewer to come up with their own interpretation.
