Steve Lacy veröffentlicht neues Album „The Lo-Fis“ // Full Streams
Für mich einer der interessantesten Musiker der aktuellen Zeit: Steve Lacy, auch bekannt als Gitarrist von The Internet, allein aber irgendwie geiler.
Nachdem sein letztes Album „Apollo XXI“ bei Fans und Kritikern nicht so super gut ankam, legt Lacy Ende des Jahres noch einmal nach und veröffentlicht das 15 Track-starke aber gerade mal 25 Minuten lange Projekt „The Lo-Fis“. Dabei handelt es sich um Material, die der 22jährige zu Highschool-Zeiten aufgenommen hat (was ja nun auch noch nicht so lange her ist), mit dabei sind Fan-Favorites wie „Thats No Fun“ und „Cocky Girl“. Sein Stil ist schon sehr unique, hin und wieder hört man etwas Thundercat raus und ich lege Euch dieses Projekt einfach mal ans Herz – hört rein:
„Clocking in at just 25 minutes, the 15-track project is comprised of unreleased demos, SoundCloud cuts, leaks and instrumentals created by the artist when he was in high school. The Lo-Fis truly serves as evidence of Lacy’s strong technical music background. He even shared a photo of him when he was 18-years-old to celebrate the release of the project, writing, “sending love and #affection thanks for all the positivity n hope you have a good day.”
