Schöne Idee vom aus New York kommenden Fotografen Tom Olesnevich, der seine Kamera einfach an einem Ministativ an der linken, hinteren Radhalterung befestige. Mit der Infrarot-Fernbedienung in der Hand löste er dann aus, wann immer er ein gutes Motiv vermutete – und es gab so einige. In dieser Serie namens “NYC by bike” sehen wir unter anderem authentisch unscharfe Aufnahmen vom Times Square, Central Park, den diversen Brücken New Yorks und natürlich unendlich viele Eindrücke aus einem frühlingsfrischen Manhatten. New York-based photographer Tom Olesnevich attached his camera to his bike, upside down on a tripod. As he pedaled, he triggered the shutter with an infrared remote and caught all kinds of blurred scenes. “When I tell people that I live in NYC and ride my bike here, I get all sorts of curious glances. I have photos of myself riding all over the country and in Europe, but none of NYC. So this spring I set out to show what riding in NYC looks and feels like, to me.” – Tom Olesnevich
