Was passiert, wenn man DJ Premier und Three Six Mafia zusammen in einen Raum einsperrt und sie bittet, ein paar LoFi-Tunes zu erstellen, auf denen James Blake später aufbaut?! Na ungefähr sowas hier, “Legends” heisst das neue Beattape von Luvjonez, den Portland Producer den wir hier schon seit 7 Jahren regelmäßig featuren. Hier treffen Jazzy Samples auf Ambient Chords, die zusammen mit staubigen Throwback Drums einzigartige Downtempo Vibes erzeugen, wie sie nur von Lovejonez kommen können. “LEGENDS” includes 22 tracks of instrumentals and beat snippets that use a healthy mix of jazzy samples, ambient chords, and a subtle dose of throwback drums and downtempo vibes. The album is an ode to the idea of how we all create our own stories and try to preserve the best version of self for future generations to look back on. For this album, I wanted to create a batch of sounds to inspire new stories, confessional verses, and the “by any means necessary” anthems that we all have buried in our minds.
