Eine Fotoserie vom aus Lucca/Italien stammenden und seit 1970 in Los Angeles lebenden Gusmano Cesaretti, der direkt nach seiner Ankunft im Land der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten begonnen hat, zu fotografieren. Als sogenannter “self-taught photographer” war er einer der Ersten, der die East Los Angeles Straßenkultur dokumentierte, seine Arbeiten aus der Serie “24 Hours in the Life of Los Angeles” wurden bereits im Los Angeles County Museum of Art und im San Francisco Museum of Modern Art ausgestellt. Neben der Fotografie arbeitete er u.a. auch als Filmregisseur und Visual Consultant.

“Gusmano Cesaretti, born in Lucca, Italy, and a resident of Los Angeles since 1970, has been capturing the sound, light, and even emotional tenor of his adopted city through the lens of his camera. He is a contributing photographer to the book “24 Hours in the Life of Los Angeles”. His photographs have been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.”
