A Year in New York (Another City Portrait of NYC – Clip)

Der Fotograf Andrew Clancy lebt in New York und hat ein Jahr lang mal Alles so gefilmt, was um ihn herum passiert. Es erschien ihm zunächst wie ein endloses Projekt, irgendwann nach einem Jahr fing er dann aber mit dem Editieren an. Hier ist das Ergebnis, ein authentisches NYC-Portrait. Hilft nicht wirklich gegen das Fernweh, auch nicht mit der Musik von James Vincent McMorrow, die Nummer heisst “We Don’t Eat”:
“Living in New York I’d grab my Canon 7D, or S95, and shoot footage of what was going on around me. It seemed like a never ending project and you could stay filming life in New York for a long time. But eventually I put my camera down and started to edit. Here’s the end result, it’s a bit rough and ready but that’s life in the Big Apple I guess.”

Geiles Video!
Hm, das reißt mich irgendwie nicht richtig mit. Die Musik ist wirklich toll, aber den Flair kriege ich nicht übertragen. Schöne Bilder irgendwie, aber nichts Außergewöhnliches für mich.
