„Blind“ – Surreal Paintings by Roy Nachum with Braille (10 Pictures)

Unglaublich großartige Artworks des aus Israel stammenden und jetzt in New York lebenden Künstler Roy Nachum. In seiner Serie „Blind“ möchte er dem geneigten Betrachter zeigen, wie man Kunst wirklich sehen kann. Es handelt sich um photorealistische Öl-Gemälde mit teilweise surrealen Motiven, auf welchen Blindenschrift eingesetzt ist. Doppelt geil: bei dem Text, den Nachum in dieser Blindenschrift auf den Bildern benutzt, handelt es sich um Gedichte, die Nachum inspiriert durch seine eigenen Artworks schrieb. Funktioniert auf so vielen Ebenen, überepischer Crample:

„Visual artist Roy Nachum believes his art should be accessible to all, even those who can’t see it. In his new installation „Blind“, Nachum has created paintings that explore how one can really „see“ art. Encouraging patrons to touch the work, the pieces are infused with poems from the artist that are written in braille, allowing the visually impaired to access the art.“
