Kendrick Lamar bringt ‘DNA’ und ‘Humble’ Medley als Eröffnungshighlight bei den MTV VMAs 2017
Über das heutige Musikvideo des Tages brauchen wir uns nicht zu unterhalten, natürlich ist es der Eröffnungs-Auftritt von Kendrick Lamar (feat) bei den diesjährigen MTV Video Music Awards, die am Wochenende stattgefunden haben. Kung-Fu Kenny kommt mit einem Medley aus “DNA” und “Humble” und der Auftritt war … lit – und zwar wortwörtlich.
Im Laufe des Abends sollte Kendrick dann noch 8 Awards (!!!) einheimsen, u.a. für Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Hip-Hop, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects und Best Choreography für “Humble”. “Leading the pack with eight nominations, Kendrick Lamar opened up the 2017 MTV VMAs with an explosive performance. And we literally mean “explosive:” He started out performing “DNA.” in a light-filled performance, flamed out in all-red everything. Then as he went into the second half of the song, he was backed up by a guy literally on fire. He finished off his set with “HUMBLE.,” while more guys scaled a fence that was on fire.
