Der portugisische Streetartist Alexandre “Vhils” Farto meldet sich mit einem Konsumgesellschafts-kritischen Artwork zurück. Ihr kennt seinen Signature Style, er sprengt und meisselt für seine Werke Teile des Putzes aus den Wänden, anstatt wie üblich Farbe aufzutragen. Das hier stammt aus einer stillgelegten, herrenlosen, geheimen Location in Paris. Seine Arbeiten werden immer filigraner, ele tem feito muito bem:
“We are confused as to why Coca-Cola and Pepsi are peeking out from this portrait by Portuguese artist, Alexandre “Vhils” Farto, but ether way it’s a beautiful piece. The artist and his crew use a unique method of chipping and scrapping away at the exterior of weathered walls to create one-of-a-kind portraits. This newest piece is located in an unknown location in Paris, France.”

Ein letztes Mal werde ich es noch erzählen: Streetartist Vhils malt oder sprüht seine Kunstwerke nicht auf die Wände, er sprengt sie aus dem entsprechenden Gemäuer heraus. So geschehen gerade in Rio De Janeiro/Brasilien, wer in der Nähe ist: Comunidade do Morro da Providência. Ein paar Tage zuvor war er noch in Exter/England, wo er für die Urban Outfitters ein Mural in die Aussenfassade ihres Shops gesprengt hat, das hatte ich hier auch nicht abgebildet. It’s Vhils, y’all:
“Using his unique technique of chipping away at the surface, Vhils and his crew recently completed this superb piece in Brazil. Exploring portraits in a variety of techniques, this is Alexandre Farto’s second piece on the streets of Rio. If you are in the neighborhood, it can be seen around the Comunidade do Morro da Providência.”

He did it again: hier ein paar Bilder eines neuen Murlas von VHILS, dem Streetartist, der statt Farbe mit Sprengstoff, Hammer und Meißel arbeitet, um seine Artworks nicht auf, sondern in die Wände zu schustern. Dieses Piece hier wurde vor wenigen Tagen in Girona/Spanien im Rahmen des “Milestone Projects” fertiggestellt:
“After numerous walls in Paris and the opening of his new solo show, Portuguese muralist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils is now in Northern Spain. In town for the Milestone Project, Vhils and his crew spent the last two days working on this superb new mural located somewhere on the streets of Girona.”

Part 4 der HCTN-Serie, in welcher auch diesmal Streetartist aus aller Welt gefeatured werden. Unter anderem gibt es Vhils (der Typ, der die Artworks in die Wände sprengt), die Dokumentarfilmerin/Fotografin Martha Cooper oder Neuzz, Saner & Sego aus Mexico zu sehen. Darunter noch Special Footage: das MADE-Team ist nämlich auch gerade auf der Art Basel in Miami – bei den Wynwood Walls:

Das hier hat einfach ALLES was es braucht, um auf whudat zu landen: fantastische Streetart von Vhils (den hatte ich gerade erst hier und im Mai letzten Jahres hier), der seine Artworks ja nicht auf sondern in den Putz klöppelt und ein unglaublich smoother Tune von der portugisischen HipHop/Jazz/Funk-Combo “Orelha Negra” – welchen ich – zuvorkommend wie man mich kennt – unten für Euch nochmal rausgesucht habe. Das hier ist so unglaublich derbe, dass ich für heute eigentlich gar nichts Anderes mehr bloggen möchte:
