Meet Skellie – A Skeleton Who Is Basically Any Girl On Instagram (13 Pictures)

Die Social Media Managerin Dana Herlihey flutet ihren Instagram-Account @omgliterallydead regelmäßig mit Selfies, wie sie uns täglich vielfach von bezaubernden Damen in den sozialen Netzwerken präsentiert werden. Genutzt werden dazu auch von Herlihey beliebte Motive wie beispielsweise das heimische Bad, GYM, Badewanne, Sauna sowie die Favo-Bar oder der Arbeitsplatz. Allerdings nutzt diese Dame nicht das eigene Antlitz für Ihre Aufnahmen, sondern setzt ein Halloween-Skelett gekonnt in Szene. Was ursprünglich als Scherz unter Arbeitskollegen begann, hat sich mittlerweile zu einen ziemlich erfolgreichen Instagram-Phänomen mit fast 100.000 Followern entwickelt. Lustig machen möchte sich Herlihey über die aktuelle Selfie-Vorliebe junger Damen allerdings keinesfalls und sagt Folgendes zu ihrem Projekt: “I hate that girls can’t document things on instagram that they find important without getting made fun of. It isn’t hurting you and it gives them a way to share and keep memories. And no, I don’t have an instagram. Personally I can’t imagine taking pictures all day everyday but I’m still not gonna make fun of the girls who do.”

Meet Skellie, just your average girl looking for a boo and a good glass of red wine. She may sound like everyone you know, except for the fact that Skellie is a skeleton! What started as an inside joke between co-workers has become one of the funniest Instagram accounts around. Social Media Manager Dana Herlihey couldn’t resist creating an Instagram profile for the Halloween skeleton she and her coworkers used to prank each other. Three months after her first post she’s still posing and photographing Skellie and crafting her personality.
