Nachdem Jay Z auf seinem letzten Album ja immer und immer wieder erwähnt, er sei “the new Jean-Michel” (Basquiat-Feature hier) oder “the modern day Pablo Picasso” wollen wir doch mal sehen, wie der Jiggaman denn als Objekt verschiedenster Fine Art-Künstler wirklich ausgesehen hätte. Das Ganze beginnt natürlich mit einem Basquiat, wie Ihr hier oben sehen könnt. Alex Reyes ist für diese Werke hier zuständig, fantastische Idee und überragend Umsetzung – quadruplelike:

Jay Z’s made it a priority to let the world know that he appreciates art. His latest project, Magna Carta Holy Grail, included enough fine art references to sound like it could be a MoMA commercial jingle, which was then coupled with his recent short film directed by Mark Romanek, a tribute of sorts to Marina Abramovic. Throughout his 16-track album Hov managed to name-drop a list of artists whose work I’m sure he can afford to buy, hang in his crib and encourage Blue to “lean on that shit.”
