Baking Bad – Puffs with crystal sugar

Schöne Fotoserie des französischen Fotografen Nicolas Knepper mit dem Namen “Hollyfood”. Die Idee zu diesen Fotos hatte Nicolas vor knapp 3 Jahren, als seine Frau in der TV-Show “Masterkoch” gewonnen hat. Sie eröffnete danach eine Konditorei und bat ihren Mann, ein paar repräsentative Fotos von ihren Kreationen zu machen. Knepper begann mit einer Serie klassischer Food-Fotos, hatte als großer Cineast dann aber die Idee, sich eine Story zu den jeweiligen Leckereien zu überlegen, die im besten Falle etwas mit seinen Lieblings-Filmen und Serien zu tun hat. So gibt es auf den folgenden Fotos nachgestellte Szenen aus Kill Bill, Star Wars, Jaws, Breaking Bad, Hulk und Whatnot zu sehen, die insgesamt etwas schmackhafter als im Originla daherkommen. Knepper betont, dass auf seinen Fotos nichts mit Photoshop manipuliert wird, er arbeitet ausschließlich mit Special-Effects wie Rauch, Licht oder Farbe – es geht also wirklich ausschließlich um den perfekten Shot! Und davon gibt es einige, guckt doch mal:

“Because I’m a great movie fan, I started to have lots of ideas with references to films such as Kill Bill, Star Wars, Jaws, always by using humor and derision. Baking is always associated with sweetness, beauty and happiness, so I really wanted to ‘break the rules’ and make some setups with blood, serial killers and other monsters – I liked the paradox.” – Nicolas Knepper
